Hérémence's Church

Situated at an altitude of 1200m, Hérémence is a typical mountain village perched on the mountainside with breathtaking views over the Val d'Hérens and the far side of the Rhône valley. Here you have all the local amenities: shop, post office, bank, and cafés.

Hérémence is well known for its modern church inaugurated in 1971 and built in harmony with the commune of Hérémence's other distinctive monument nestled at the top of the valley, the Grande Dixence.

A tour of the church is available and includes a sound and light show. In Hérémence there is also a museum, a water mill and traditional bread oven.
